"Faith In Action" Projects 2010 - 2011

"Faith In Action" projects research the life of a person or group which exemplifies Christian  beliefs by their actions as follows:

Grades 4 - 12 Students: 

Research the person or group's life as it relates to their faith see Faith in Action Research Questions

Students or adults older than 13 could:
  1. Put together the contributions made by others on a blog with an index summarizing the contributions.  See blank Faith in Action Alberta Index to
  2. Summarize the person's life or the groups history as follows:
    1. When did they live
    2. What were some of their main accomplishments?
    3. Why this person or group was chosen as an example of people, who put their faith into action?
    4. How does the person's or groups actions relate to their faith?  How were they "Doers of the Word" (use references to scripture)?
    5. How did they learn about faith that made them act the way they did? 
    6. How does the does the way they learned about faith compare to how students today learn about faith in 2010? 
    7. Links and references to all sources used.
  3. Make specific Faith In Actions references to the scriptures and the religion curriculum (see Christian Beliefs (Creed Topics
  4. Compare present religious education curriculum to the religious education received by the persons being studies.
  5. Suggest "Faith In Action" anniversary projects.
  6. Dialogue on what Faith In Action would look like in the future.
These projects could be done in several ways like:
  1. Connecting them to curriculum outcomes in subjects like religion and LA. 
  2. Get a FACTSnet summer student to help with the project.
