We will start with the information session (about 30 minutes), which will highlight opportunities for summer employment with the Not for Profit sector, emphasizing FACTSnet Summer Jobs 2013 .
- To apply for a summer job you need to be a full time student (ages 15-30) who is going back to school next fall, a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant. see above link for more details.
- We work flexible hours (you can for the most part work your own hours).
- For students, who do well, we offer bonuses and advertise future consulting opportunities for them.
- We
also offer 20% of your time to work on approved projects initiated by
you that relate to your job. For example, you could work on a project
for your campus club.
The Information Session will be followed by a workshop to write job descriptions to apply for Canada Summer Jobs funding.
- These descriptions will be tailored to individual interests, wherever possible.
- The opportunities are varied. Scroll down the FACTSnet Index to see blogs that have been worked on by previous summer students. If you are aboriginal, from a visible minority or have a disability; you have better chance of getting a job.
