- First of all we you want to move forward in your career. As a result of our summer programs students have received reference letters for a variety of career advancements (jobs, scholarships, entering a specific academic program). Here is a quote from a former summer participant who just got her first teaching job. "I'm just emailing you to let you know that I got the position at ... and it was due to, largely, your reference. Thank you so much for everything!"
- Secondly we place high value on developing you as a person.see FACTSnet Summer Personal Development Comments. Using the Google 20% model we allow you to use up to 20% of your time to work on career and personal development. We also have Career and Personal Development seminars for both volunteers and summer employees.
- We work flexible hours. We work mostly over the Internet, with weekly team meetings and training sessions. This allows you to pursue goals beyond your summer job.
- Each person has General Community Responsibilities. Specific networks can vary according to a person's interests.
- In most cases summer jobs employees also have an additional Leadership and/or Professional Role(s). This will vary according to your background and interest.
