In July and August we will work on projects related to our CSJ positions see Spruce Grove, Stony Plain & West Edmonton Positions 09. as follows:
Both students will
- Contact organizations in the constituency (Edmonton - Spruce Grove) that work with persons with disabilities, newcomers to Canada, disadvantaged children & youth, seniors, Aboriginal people and members of visible minorities, with the view of developing a network of organizations that work with these groups.
- Research the history of the above mentioned groups, especially interviewing seniors to create a digital archive for current and future use.
- Use the research to develop and present historical stories, for use in schools and the community.
- Use the Internet and other digital technology (especially digital versions of local history books).
- Developing the network.
- Researching and writing stories in English.
- Protestant History.
- Researching and writing stories in French
- French and Catholic History.
