Since most Greater St, Albert Catholic Schools if not all schools are named after men and women of faith, it is proposed that each school work on anniversary projects (prepare May and June 2010 for 2011) to research the life of the person the school is named after. See see "Faith In Action" Projects 2010. School projects are described below:
Religious Education Projects:
Using the Religion Curriculum see Faith in Action Research Questions as a starting point, we propose to research and summarize the life of the person the school is named after with the view of showing how hiséher life exemplifies what is studied in the curriculum and is an inspiration for the school.
École Secondaire Sainte Marguerite d'Youville
In the spirit of Sainte Marguerite d'Youville (see Mission Statement) we will be researching and developing works of art related to Sainte Marguerite d'Youville and the Grey Nuns service to Education, Health and Social Services. We were assisted by summer student employees from the Centralta Tourism Society, who wrote articles on Sainte Marguerite d'Youville and the Grey Nuns. See summaries and sources in links below.
See Rendezvous2011 Mural Project
Each school could research what Christmas was like for the person their school was named after and/or how Christmas was celebrated at their school.
