Alberta/Japan Summer Network Coordinator

The main tasks will be to work with educational, municipal and community groups that are interested in Alberta/Japan networks within our constituency  and the province of Alberta.  The employee will attempt to work with families, teachers, students, parents, and seniors to develop these networks.   A special effort will be made to contact groups that work with, aboriginals, persons with disabilities, and newcomers to Canada and use French language??.  The employee will make presentations on the Alberta/Japan Network, especially as it relates to the Alberta Education curriculum.   In preparing for these presentations, the employee will research and develop relevant curriculum resources.   The employee will attempt to hosting one or more community dialogues..   The employee will work with others in support of the Alberta/Japan Network and do other tasks such as updating the Alberta/Japan Blog.  A student who has been to Japan and has studied Japanese is preferred.  Research, training and network development may take place at various sites within and outside the constituency and over the Internet.
