We will start with the information session (about 30 minutes), which will highlight opportunities for summer employment with the Not for Profit sector, emphasizing FACTSnet Summer Jobs 2013 .
- To apply for a summer job you need to be a full time student (ages 15-30) who is going back to school next fall, a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. see Eligible Student Participants for more details.
- We work flexible hours (you can for the most part work your own hours).
- For students, who do well, we offer bonuses and advertise future consulting opportunities for them.
- We
also offer 20% of your time to work on approved projects initiated by
you that relate to your job. For example, you could work on a project
for your campus club.
The Information Session will be followed by a workshop to write job descriptions to apply for Canada Summer Jobs funding.
- These descriptions will be tailored to individual interests, wherever possible.
- The opportunities are varied. Scroll down the FACTSnet Index to see blogs that have been worked on by previous summer students. For NAIT students we are looking for tech. support and/or media people to work with online and Digital Media projects.
- Follow links on the FACTSnet Summer Jobs 2013 post to get more information and ideas for your statement of interest.
